Q Where is the 6th free-them freedom walk located?

The Walk starts with registration and an honorary ceremony at
The Hyatt Regency Toronto
370 King St W | Toronto, ON | M5V 1J9

There is Hyatt hotel parking at your expense.  The entrance to the parking is located on Widmer Street off of the north side of King St W.
Hyatt Regency Toronto offers underground hotel parking with in and out privileges for registered guests. The parking facilities can accommodate vehicles up to 6’ 6” high. Cost: Self Parking costs $32.00 per night
Parking price is subject to change and parking space is also subject to availability
Q Are there other areas to park?
There are Green P parking lots all around the venue along with other street level lot parking.

Q Does the walk end at the Hyatt Regency?
We will not be ending at The Hyatt Regency.  The Walk will end at Osgood Hall, which is about a 7 minute walk from The Hyatt Regency.
Q Where does the walk end?
We are ending at Osgood Hall by Nathan Philips Square on Queen Street W.

Q What time does the event start?
Registration opens at 9AM - we recommend to come on time so that you can register, buy your t-shirt if you would like, grab a lite snack, and take some photos before the morning begins at 10AM

Q What time does the whole event end?
We normally finish The Walk no later than 1PM at Osgood Hall.

Q Is there a registration fee?
Yes it is $20 for adults, $10 for students

Q Will drinking water be available before/during/after the walk ?
YES! Water will be provided by the Hyatt Regency in the venue room before the walk.  Water bottles filled with ice and water will be handed to each participant as we leave the venue to head to the street for our walk.
Q Are there restrooms available?
Restrooms are available at The Hyatt Regency before we head to the streets to start walking. During the walk you can pop in and out of places like Starbucks if you need to use the restroom. There are no portable facilities.

Q Are there any closing ceremonies after the walk is done?
There are closing remarks at the end location and we take a massive group photo to celebrate together!!

Q Can I collect pledges offline?
We prefer all donations and pledges to be made online.  You can collect cheques, please see the question "Can donations be made by cheque?"
Q Is there a minimum amount that I need to raise to walk?
No, there is no minimum. We are grateful for whatever you are able to raise BUT we encourage you to raise as much money as possible so that we can support victims of Human Trafficking who are in great need! The more we raise, the greater impact we will have!
Q When do I get my tax receipt?
Tax receipts are automatically issued to the email address that you use to register with/donate with online after you have made your donation. 

If a donation was made by cheque or cash then the tax receipt will be issued in February/March of 2019.
Q When I donate online, the receipt that is sent to me, is that my tax receipt?
You will receive two emails, one is a transaction receipt and the other is your tax receipt.
Please use this tax receipt when filing your taxes in 2019.
Please remember to check your junk mail if you don't see your tax receipt

Q Who issues the tax receipt Free-Them or Covenant House Toronto?
Covenant House Toronto will be issuing all tax receipts for donations made over $10.

All donations made over $10 are eligible to receive a tax receipt.  As all funds are being raised for Covenant House Toronto, donors will receive their tax receipt from Covenant House Toronto directly.  Please check your email (and junk mail) for your tax receipt after the donation has been made.

Q Can donations be made by cheque?
Yes, you can make donations by writing a cheque payable to "Covenant House Toronto” and write Free-Them in the memo of the cheque, along with the full name of the walker your are supporting so we can add your donation to their fundraising total!

Q Do I have to register for this event?
Yes, all participants must register

Q: Is this a child friendly event?
Yes, we are a family friendly event and have a separate kids zone for during the honorary ceremony.  Your children are welcome to be in the honorary ceremony or be in the kid zone.
Q Can I still register the day of the event?
Yes!! You will be able to register at the event if you don’t register prior to attended.  We encourage you to register before the event so that day of you can expedite your registration process.

Also those friends that want to join you last minute, you can tell them that it’s okay because they can register at the walk!

Q Is there a cost for registration?
Please check under registration to see what registration fee is applicable to you
Q Can I register a team?
Yes, you can register as an individual or register a team.  You can register a company, organization, group of friends, etc.

Q Are purple free-them t-shirts for sale?

Yes ! You can purchase t-shirts at registration area for $15
